SHANG TO KORZOK (TSOMORIRI)

Located on the banks of the beautiful blue water river Tso Moriri, is the sleepy village of Korzok. Korzok is considered as one of the highest settlements in the world situated at an altitude of 14,995 feet above mean sea level. The trek from Shang to Tso Moriri is the perfect trek if you would love to see the beautiful village of Korzok, the beautiful lake Tso Moriri as well as the differing landscapes and vivid flaura and fauna of this region. The trek take approx. two weeks to complete and is considered a moderate one but one that would stay in your memories for time immemorial.

Kang Yatse 1 peak lies in the renowned Markha valley in the Ladakh region. Markha valley is a popular trekking spot in the Himalayas. One can spot Stok Kangri, Saser Massif, and Karakoram range peak doing this trek.

The word Chadar is derived from Urdu language translating to cloak which is precisely very apt for Chadar trek as it’s basically a trek across the frozen blanket of ice sheet over the Zanskar River

PICK UP
The only way to travel is to fly to Kushok Bakula Rimpochi Airport located in Leh. It is just 4 km away from the main city. The airport is well connected to Delhi and also receives flights from Mumbai, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh and other general destinations in India. Even international travellers can fly directly from major cities like Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi.
