In 2010, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation jointly opened over 104 new peaks for mountaineering expeditions. Among these peaks was Mount Chilling, which consists of two summits: Mount Chilling - I, standing at 6,349 meters, and
Mount Chilling - II, at 6,253 meters. Situated in the Lalung Valley of the Zanskar region in the state of Ladakh, Mount Chilling offers exciting opportunities for climbers and adventurers.

Kang Yatse 1 peak lies in the renowned Markha valley in the Ladakh region. Markha valley is a popular trekking spot in the Himalayas. One can spot Stok Kangri, Saser Massif, and Karakoram range peak doing this trek.

The word Chadar is derived from Urdu language translating to cloak which is precisely very apt for Chadar trek as it’s basically a trek across the frozen blanket of ice sheet over the Zanskar River

The only way to travel is to fly to Kushok Bakula Rimpochi Airport located in Leh. It is just 4 km away from the main city. The airport is well connected to Delhi and also receives flights from Mumbai, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh and other general destinations in India. Even international travellers can fly directly from major cities like Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi.
